Host Clinic: please have the following supplies ready to accompany your patient to the CT truck:
For sedated patients:
An IV catheter must be in place prior to the arrival of the CT truck.
Sedation can be performed on the truck or in the clinic depending on the route of administration and the demeanor of the patient.
Laryngoscope
Endotracheal tubes (several sizes, esp for brachycephalic breeds)
We do not expect a sedated patient to require intubation, but need to have it ready in case of an unexpected complication during sedation
Endotracheal tube ties (roll gauze or tubing to tie the ET tube to the patient)
Eye lube
2 Towels
Additional sedation with syringes (i.e. propofol or alfaxalone)
Antisedan (if using dexmedetomidine) with syringes
Saline flush
For anesthetized patients:
Induction and intubation should be performed on the truck
Induction agent
Laryngoscope
Endotracheal tubes (several sizes)
Endotracheal tube ties
Eye lube
2 Towels
Additional sedation/induction agent with syringes (i.e. propofol or alfaxalone)

A stretcher and gurney are available if the patient is non-ambulatory; however, it is best for the patient to walk to the truck if possible.
