Increasing Access to Advanced Imaging by Bringing
CT Scanning to Veterinary Clinics On Demand

Bring advanced CT imaging directly to your Minnesota or western Wisconsin practice with Mobile Veterinary CT. Our state-of-the-art mobile scanning technology—previously only available at large referral hospitals—now provides on-demand access to superior diagnostic insights.

CT delivers more comprehensive information about disease extent and severity compared to traditional radiography or scopes, enabling more accurate diagnoses and targeted treatment plans for your patients. Enhance your practice’s diagnostic capabilities without the need for client referrals or extended wait times.

Sedation or Anesthesia?

For optimal imaging quality and patient safety, sedation protocols vary by scan type: Head scans without contrast may be performed under sedation alone, while head scans with contrast require full anesthesia. All chest and abdominal CT studies necessitate general anesthesia to ensure breath-holding during image acquisition, eliminating motion artifacts for diagnostic-quality studies. Your veterinary team will maintain anesthesia oversight using your clinic’s protocols and medications throughout the procedure.

Clinic Checklist

If your clinic is preparing to host MVCT, the following is a checklist of what you will need to have ready once we arrive for fast and convenient CT services. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to us at 612-655-4809.

  • An IV catheter must be in place prior to arrival on the CT truck.
  • Sedation can be performed on the truck or in the clinic depending on the route of administration and the demeanor of the patient.
  • Laryngoscope
  • Endotracheal tubes (several sizes, esp for brachycephalic breeds)
  • We do not expect a sedated patient to require intubation, but need to have it ready in case of an unexpected complication during sedation
  • Endotracheal tube ties (roll gauze or tubing to tie the ET tube to the patient)
  • Eye lubricant
  • 2 Towels
  • Additional sedation with syringes (i.e. propofol or alfaxalone)
  • Antisedan (if using dexmedetomidine) with syringes
